A pretty little brooch (very small) from France. The colors of enamel used are just perfect together—very rich. Swarovski Aurora Borealis rhinestones make an elegant design. The enamel brooches which look like this one used a method of colored enamel and swarovski rhinestones in their design and then they topped the brooch with a clear enamel. I have to wonder why this method of finishing the brooch ever began. You can only assume it was to protect the surface of the stones, but this isn't something our designers did here so I am curious why you find these with the enamel finish from France. If I can find any documented reference about it I will be sure to add it. ID-545
Brooch — Approximately 1" tall and approximately 1 3⁄8" (at widest point)
