Bonetto
The wide brimmed hat—a style that seems to never go out of style. Although Bonetto was
producing these in the 80's it still reminds me of the hat styles from the early 1900's. It seems that it continues to hold
women's adoration throughout the years that followed, as you will find the wide brimmed floppy hat easily today. This
unique brooch is well made. The mother-of-pearl material, which the hat and partial dress are made from, have a beautiful
golden glow. The watch face, with the same material, glows white. Rhinestones are used at the brim of the hat and decorate
the neck as a necklace. You will also see that each hour on the watch is marked with a rhinestone. The brooch has a safety
catch and the watch hangs freely. The brooch bears the designers signature.
ID-183
Measurements:
The brooch is approximately 2 5⁄8" tall and approximately 3 1⁄4" wide (at widest point).
Bonetto Jewelry History —
Information was difficult to find on the businesses
start date. From my research it seems that Bonetto began selling this type of brooch/watch in the 80's. I have
read reports that this product was made in Japan, but however, these types of brooches came with a 1-year warranty
card, which gives a New York address. The warranty card bears the name Benneto® Digits™. They also made
the most fabulous watch rings.
